We rejoice and delight in you;
we will praise your love more than wine.
How right they are to adore you!

Lord, Yours is the greatest Love Story ever written, the greatest Love Song of the ages; it is the Song of all songs.

Father, let Your Son kiss my heart with revelation from Your Word. Speak to my heart again, Your servant is listening. Open my eyes that I may see wonderous things from Your Law. Revive me according to Your Word. Only You have the Words of eternal life. Where else can I go? The earth has nothing for me (Psalm 73:25). Truly Your love is better than wine; it is more exhilerating than all the pleasures of this temporal existence.

Jesus, Your name is like a fragrant perfume. You did not love Your life even unto death but poured it out as a fragrant offering, becoming the perfect sacrifice. You paid the highest price so that I could be forgiven. I am ruined for any lesser goal than knowing You. No wonder Your people love You!

My King, bring me into Your chamber. Unlock my soul in a way I’ve never known. Take me to the place that I never want to leave, where it’s You and me alone, God. This is the One Thing I desire – to gaze upon Your beauty all the days of my life (Psalm 27:4).

I will praise Your love more than wine as I drink from Your river of eternal pleasure. I will be satisfied from above by the One in whom is all my delight!

Beloved, how right we are to adore You!
