As a teenager I was provoked to obey God’s voice when I read Loren’s book: Is That Really You God? I went on my first overseas mission trip to Fiji with YWAM in 1991. On that small YWAM base I was first introduced to the concept of 24/7 prayer because they had a prayer hut that was going around the clock led by an older missionary lady named Beryl Wilson. I also had the opportunity to walk with a few others from the Anaheim Vineyard through parliament to pray for the government of this nation. Ten years later the nation of Fiji was radically transformed, which I learned about on one of the transformation videos produced by George Otis Jr. called “Let the Sea Resound!” (see below)

A Real Life Hero

Yesterday morning the world lost real life hero when Derek Loux, father of 10, loving husband, brother, son and friend was tragically killed in a car accident.

Please pray for the family as we walk through this devastating tragedy. We thank you for all your prayers and support, it means more than you know.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations would be made to the Josiah Fund.

Dear IHOP–KC family,

Derek Loux, who has been such an important part of our IHOP–KC family for many years, is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Early this morning as he was traveling home from Colorado, Derek was killed in an automobile accident when his car hit a patch of black ice. Derek had been in Colorado to receive more extensive training in how to minister to victims of human trafficking,

For years, this precious man of God has faithfully served his Lord and our missions base in so many areas, including helping pioneer the Forerunner Music Academy where he served as director. Derek was part of the IHOP-KC senior leadership team, a worship leader in the house of prayer, and a frequent IHOP–KC conference speaker. He has recorded professionally as a musician, singer, and songwriter, including his albums Paper Religion and Fragrant Burning.  Before joining IHOP–KC he served as the director of IHOP-Indianapolis for four years.

Derek’s life passion was adopting and restoring orphans; he pioneered the vision of the Orphan Justice Center—a haven of restoration for rescued orphans. OJC recently become an official part of IHOP–KC. His tireless voice for the weak and voiceless indelibly marked us all. How we will miss him.

Renee and the children will need so very much love and support, not only in these first weeks, but for many years. In the immediate, Pamela Stead will spearhead all practical care for the family. Please contact her (pamelastead@ihop.org) if you would like to be involved in practical helps. We ask you to please give the Loux family (immediate and extended) privacy to grieve, and only go to the home if invited. There will be many ways to give—meals, childcare, home care, finances. More details will follow soon on how you can give to this precious family. We will also let you know the memorial plans.

We do not grieve as those who have no hope, but oh how we grieve. For Renee, for children who have lost their earthly father, and for our family who has lost a marvelous comrade. Until that Day when He dries every tear . . . we mourn with the Loux family.

GOD TV pays tribute to Oral Roberts (1918-2009)

GOD TV will be breaking with its regular schedule on Monday December 21st to broadcast Oral Roberts’ Memorial Service worldwide.

Aired LIVE from Tulsa, Oklaholma at 3pm (EST) /8pm (GMT) the service will take place in the 11,000-seater Mabee Center in the grounds of Oral Roberts University, the world-class educational institution he founded.

The veteran healing evangelist passed away on December 15 at the age of 91 and will be remembered for restoring many key truths to the Body of Christ over several decades of ministry.

“Oral Roberts was one of God’s generals and leaves a vast legacy,” said GOD TV founder’s Rory and Wendy Alec. “He was a great man of faith and always exhorted believers to ‘Expect a miracle!’

“The Lord also used Oral Roberts to pioneer Christian Television and we continue to be inspired by him as GOD TV breaks new ground for the Gospel around the world, through media.”

Leaders at IHOPU felt led by the Spirit after this testimony to call for repentance of self hatred resulting from similar situations of sexual assault or molestation. Many students, male and female came forward to confess, repent and receive healing from the Lord. Males who were once the perpetrators in similar situations in the past, who continue to suffer from the accusations of the enemy also came forward to confess, repent and receive forgiveness.

This move of the Lord has lead to nightly meetings which have brought about many cases of personal renewal and physical touches from the Lord.

In the midst of this move of the Lord, Bob Hartley shares his heart on the the outpouring of the spirit and invites us all to drink deeply of his presence.

In today’s CentCom Bob Hartley addresses this outpouring, prophesies about a “three-year glory train”, and gives perspective on what is taking place in the Body of Christ to usher in a world inheritance. Hartley highlights three primary movements of the Holy Spirit: wind, fire, and rain. He explains that the wind opens up a greater knowledge of Jesus causing people to give up control, and then the fire of His purifying love brings repentance to burn away sin.

After this revival fire, God’s refreshing rain pours out a renewal of love providing the ability to respond differently to circumstances. There is an abundance of rain coming which will produce a culture of life, honor, and hope. “Some of the most marvelous mantels will be released in the next three-year glory train,” Hartley says.

Hartley also shared a dream about the increase of angelic activity. Angels of awe will reveal who God is in the past and future while angels of harmony will bring unity between various denominational streams causing the rain to overflow and spill into the marketplace. He explains, “There is a lack of understanding about what each group has to offer, but when we come together we’ll be able to see a little boy feed 40,000!” Our posture in this season is to ask for more of the Holy Spirit and to steward the rain without attempting to control it as we honor the various manifestations of the Spirit unto revival and the great harvest.

Subject: Move of the Spirit at IHOP-KC

Dear Friends and Family,

There is a small but genuine moving of the Holy Spirit in the form of renewal taking place at the FSM building at IHOP-KC.  It started in Wes Hall’s class of 1st year FSM students at 9:00 am in the morning (see Acts 2:15) with a bunch of students getting drunk in the Spirit and Wes also manifesting in the presence of God (Toronto style).  It continued throughout the day, gaining momentum as more people joined.  With each new group that came in, the leaders would explain what had been going on, have people share testimonies of what God had done for them, and then take that new wave of people into the same things of deliverance, the love of God and the joy of the Lord.  Testimonies have ranged from being delivered from eating disorders, depression, father-wounds, and other traumatic experiences.

All FSM classes were cancelled and by 7 pm the whole auditorium was full, like at a conference 1500-2000 people).  The nightwatch continued it at FSM with the same intensity until 6 am.  Wes Hall’s class is meeting again this morning and they are continuing on with it, more emotional healing, deliverance and the experience of the love of the Father.  Time will tell if it increases into a full-blown renewal or if it was just an encouraging sign of what is around the corner.  Wes has said that he believes we are ankle-deep in the River, and Holy Spirit is inviting us in deeper, but we must respond to the Holy Spirit to enter into it.  Wes explained the River from Ez. 47:9-10.  Everywhere the River goes it is going to bring life and there are fish there.  The River is being released to bring a freshness to us so that we can bring life to those who are going to be brought into the harvest (the fish).  The Holy Spirit is bringing freedom from stagnation and demonic hindrances to the receiving and giving of the love of God and the joy of the Lord so that we can minister effectively to the multitudes that He is getting ready to bring in.
